Welcome to the New Zealand Agricultural Show Online!
This is the first time in its 158 year history that the NZ Agricultural Show will be presented online.
The NZ Agricultural Show is an 158 year old institution and a symbol of community, history and heritage. This cross-generational event is the largest community event in the country and brings together a passionate group of rural exhibitors, innovators, volunteers and celebrators, bridging the urban rural divide.

For the first time since World War II, the physical Agricultural Show was cancelled due to COVID-19 uncertainty, meaning a huge loss for the South Island's rural community.

As we have seen with COVID-19 though, adversity can be a positive catalyst for change...
Here's an online television programme, bringing you the NZ Agricultural Show on your screen.

Our industry episodes are targeted towards those interested in watching the events and results.
Our kids/educational episodes are focused on what we can learn from the Show and are filled with fun facts and information for kids, as well as the showing of animals.
There's something for everyone, so whether you're a farmer or townie, or something in between, jump on in and enjoy the NZ Ag Show Online!
Quick Navigation:
The NZ Ag Show Online is presented by the Canterbury A&P Association (CAPA).

We hear from CAPA's co-President, Chris Herbert:
INDUSTRY EPISODES
"NZ ON SHOW"
EPISODE 1: NZ ON SHOW

Another year of New Zealand Agricultural Show judging has inspired and rewarded some extraordinarily dedicated people, and outstanding animals. In this first episode of NZ On Show, we go behind-the-scenes at Canterbury Agricultural Park for this year’s Cattle and Equestrian competitions.

EPISODE 2: WOOL & FIBRE (PART I)

New Zealand wool is famous around the world for its quality, and the Wool & Fibre story begins with dedicated farmers, well-bred stock and World Champion kiwi shearers.

In Wool & Fibre, Part 1 we bring you all the excitement of the New Zealand Agricultural Show, Canterbury Shears Corriedale Shearing and Wool handling Championships.

EPISODE 2: WOOL & FIBRE (PART II)

It can get pretty heated and noisy as millions of dollars change hands at the New Zealand wool auctions.

In Part 2 of Wool & Fibre, we’re following fleeces from the shearing boards to the PGG Wrightson Woolstore, where wool buyers are preparing for battle.

EPISODE 3: TOMORROW'S FARMERS

Bringing city and rural families closer together is part of the magic of the Show, but for the first time in 158 years, the New Zealand Agricultural Show has had to scale down, due to COVID. Join us as city children enjoy that once-a-year treat of seeing and touching farm animals, in a special one-day event, as we take you behind-the-scenes at the Hazlett City Farmyard.

EPISODE 4: OUR LAND, OUR FUTURE

Opportunity awaits the next generation of farmers, as food and fibre production develops innovative and sustainable ways to reap the benefits of our Canterbury sun and soil.

In Our Land, Our Future we hear about Canterbury’s extraordinary potential, inspired by that once-a-year-event that puts animals and agriculture in the spotlight – the New Zealand Agricultural Show.

EPISODE 6: GREAT YARNS

What would happen if sheep didn’t get a haircut and how hard is it to shear off a fleece?
